The Primer
I usually use the primer by itself on most days. I love it. Gives just enough coverage on my lashes, which have white tips that don't show up. Have used this product for years and would not be without it.

Black eyelash primer
I tried the new black 'primer' and I didn't like it at all. In my opinion it was too thick and clumpy. I expect a primer to prime my mascara, to hold the mascara in place until I take it off. This does not do that. The white primer that you replaced this with worked much better for me. Also, I do not like the curved wand. Sorry for the negative review, I love most Estee Lauder products and have been a long term user, as was my mother and grandmother.

Great primer!
This is a terrific primer, the only one I've ever used that doesn't flake by the end of the day. Looks good alone or with mascara. An excellent product.

Please keep forever!
This is my go-to for naturally looking lashes when I'm hanging around at home. Just gives your lashes a clean look with a little bit of volume. When you're ready to go out, apply your usual mascara on top and it creates beautiful long lashes!

There isn't anything else out there like it.
I love this primer. There is not another like it on the market. One, since it's black you can wear it by itself when you just need a little something on your lashes. Second, it will help mascara stay on all day. And the brush applies just the right amount of product. I Don't really understand the comments about bringing back the white one. When I want a more hydrating primer I just use another brand.
