Great pigmentation!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This does what it says it will! I put a tiny amount on my face composure for a more gradual tan but a bit more for my body. I tan pretty well but as always there are days where I have that “farmers tan” and need to even the rest of my arms or chest area. This allows you to add as much or little as possible to your own products which i love as many tanning lotions i cannot use due to there being some ingredient that always makes me itchy. I love the results this is providing, no allergy which is why i decided to try this all over. Great to have !

Looks great, fades a bit patchy

However, no matter how much I keep my skin hydrated, it seems to fade away slightly more patchy than I’d like. Nothing makeup can’t easily cover up, so not a huge deal.

My go to tanning product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so obsessed with this tanning face serum. It doesn’t make me look orange and develops so nicely overnight. I use it all through winter and summer. It allows me to feel tan all year round without the worry of sun damage in the summer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m naturally very pale though I can get a nice tan going in the summer. As I get older though I want to avoid sun damage and of course have a nice color going in the colder months as well. These drops go right in your moisturizer and are easily applied. No streaking and can see where you’ve applied. These give a pretty good color though can look a bit orange if you use to much. Start out with only a few drops and add as needed after you see how the drops look on your skin. Non drying.

Good tan

I don't have anything else to compare it with but this was easy to apply and the results were pretty much overnight.

Buildable glow

I like to use this year round, adding less drops in the winter and more in the summer for a natural glow. My skin is prone to breakouts when using other tanners! I like how I can add this to my regular moisturizer!

The product instructions recommend exfoliating regularly so the tan stays even - if you use the tan drops and continue to wash and exfoliate your face as usual will it go streaky or patchy and how long will it last before it all washes off?

It is recommended to wash and exfoliate your skin while using the TAN-LUXE The Face Illuminating Self-Tan Drops as this is how you achieve a perfect tan without gong streaky or patchy as fake tan works by darkening the cells on the very top surface layer of the skin, which gradually flake away over time.
Dry, dehydrated, flaky skin absorbs extra DHA, which results in streaks and blotches. Due the this fact, the lasting power can vary depending on your skin type. Oily skins will find this product lasts longer than dryer skins.

What is the difference between this and the body version? Can I not just use these drops on my body too?

I personally wouldn't recommend using one product for both areas.
The difference is the ingredients; the ingredients in a body product are very different to the ingredients in a facial product as those areas of the body require very different treatment.
For example the TAN-LUXE The Face Illuminating Self-Tan Drops contain Raspberry Seed Oil, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera which are targeted specifically to to the face because of their smoothing and skin boosting properties, which wouldn't necessarily have any effect on the body. Likewise, the body product might have ingredients that won't necessarily work well with the skin on the face.

Should you avoid your hairline and eyebrows with this? Or is it fine to apply all over/close to the edge of hair?

It is advised to perform a patch test is done 24 hours prior to use of TAN-LUXE products.
Do not apply this onto broken, irritated or sensitive skin and also avoid contact with eyes.
It does not state that you must avoid contact with the hairline and eyebrows however, we would advise taking take when applying this near those areas.

What shade would be recommended for olive toned, tan skin?

In the TAN-LUXE The Face Illuminating Self-Tan Drops, the shade Medium/Dark would be great for tanned skin.
Mix 1-4 drops to your usual moisturiser, serum or face oil in the palm of your hand and apply evenly over the face. Additional drops of the product will add depth of colour and glow to the final result.
