The Ultimate Versatile Compact

Pretty Colors Wish the Mirror Was Included
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second eye color palette from Ilia and I was excited to add the cools to my collection. However when I got it, I was a bit bummed to see there was no mirror in this compact compared to the warm one I have :( I definitely use a mirror to apply & fix on the go so I hope they add that back in. I think I also just use 3 of the 6 colors but that’s because I hardly ever go dark shades. Also mine arrived a little damaged (colors all over the compact case) but I guess it’s a little delicate & you never know how the box is handled while out shipping.

Didn’t apply smoothly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a first time miss for me from Ilia. I normally love everything but these eyeshadows just didn’t apply smoothly. Even when using eye primer the color hit in some places and others it wouldn’t apply. I need to retune.

Eye shadow
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The colors are highly pigmented therefore a little goes a long way. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no plastic cover as you open the compact and the shadow got a little messy on my hands and the compact. It is very soft and powdery and gets over everything if you aren’t careful about opening it

Got an allergy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A friend recommended to try this product line as the best on the market. I was excited to get my first package and I ordered a lot. Unfortunately, all purple eye shadows caused an irritation, my eyelids got puffy and flaky. There was an accumulation period too. I would use it for a week and then itching would begin, followed by redness and flaking and a look in the morning like I cried all night. I had a photoshoot scheduled and it took a lot of time for the makeup artist to hide it slightly. If you think Ilia would not cause irritation from purples and reds you can try, just don’t schedule a major event like wedding) I now give up on using purples in my life. This line definitely uses something that my skin cannot tolerate and I am a healthy person with no allergies ever from anything. Oh well.
