Kojic Acid

Kojic Acid is a chemical naturally derived from mushrooms. Unlike other acids that dissolve the bonds between the cells to exfoliate skin, Kojic Acid works by inhibiting pigment production. Because of its ability to really penetrate the layers of your skin and stop the production of melanin, it's recommended as an effective spot-fading treatment, and is often considered a less-aggressive alternative to Hydroquinone.
