This gentle Scalp Solutions Balancing Shampoo helps remove excess oil, impurities and pollution from the hair and scalp.

Formulated for everyday shampooing, this non-drying shampoo improves scalp hydration instantly and overtime: +92%(1) after 1 week; +128%(2) after 2 weeks.

Plant-derived cleansing agents gently cleanse and instantly remove pollution and product build up. Gentle and non-irritating to scalp. Instant cooling sensation.

Suitable for:
- All scalp types: Normal to oily, normal to dry.
- All hair types: Fine, medium, thick.
- All textures: Straight 1A-1C, Wavy 2A-2C, Curly 3A-3C, Coily 4A-4C.

Directions

- Massage into wet hair and scalp.
- Rinse well.
- Follow with scalp solutions replenishing conditioner.
- Use daily or as often as needed.

Pro tip:
- Use the stimulating scalp massager with the scalp solutions balancing shampoo to deeply cleanse the scalp of impurities.
- After working in a lather with your fingers, gently press the massager onto the scalp and use circular motions to massage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from gorgeous I have lots of fine hair and sensitive scalp and for years used 'Scalp benefits' which worked well for me but it tended to dry my hair so I balanced it with the quite moisturising 'Shampure' conditioner. I recently tried 'Scalp solutions' and I'm very pleased. My hair looks healthier and stays looking that way on day 2 which is brilliant because I try to wash my hair every other day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I WILL NOT BUY THIS SHAMPOO AGAIN, IT'S THE WORST SHAMPOO The worst shampoo ever. I don't recommend this shampoo to anyone. The previous SCALP BENEFITS BALANCING SHAMPOO was the best shampoo that I have used for years, but unfortunately discontinued for some reason. Bring back the original SCALP BENEFITS BALANCING SHAMPOO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make your own mind up! I used the previous formula and, yes, it was lovely. However, I have been deterred from buying the new version because of the negative responses. All I can say is make your own mind up. I asked for a sample recently after my hair cut at Aveda as I did not want to purchase a large bottle but this shampoo is lovely! It lathered really well and cleaned thoroughly. My hair is so short that I don't need a conditioner. I do suffer with an itchy sensitive scalp so I am hoping it will help but so far so good. I WILL purchase a full size bottle.

I had been using it for several years and it was THE best shampoo & conditioner for my hair and scalp. A luxurious product. I then try this thinking it must be a new and improved formula to find it leaves my hair lank and lifeless. My hair had no volume after washing and looked and felt awful. Please bring back scalp benefits and read the forums where other customers are now buying other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing new formula I have used the old scalp solutions since it came out but always found it drying on my hair. This new formula is luscious in comparison! My scalp and hair feel hydrated and it has a new minty smell which just makes the experience bliss. Very very happy! Well done Aveda!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would give no stars and would not recommend I've used the scalp benefits shampoo and conditioner for years and have found it a very good product. I thought I would try the new scalp solutions balancing shampoo and conditioner and it was dreadful. My hair felt matted together after shampooing and the conditioner did not smooth it at all. I had to reshampoo and condition with scalp benefits before my hair felt normal. Will not be using it again. Expensive mistake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I was a scalp benefits user and was hoping this would be an effective replacement. It is. And I think it's better too. One thing to note: if you live in a soft water area (or have a water softener) then you probably don't to use the conditioner at all.
