Average Flatiron
I got this in place of my KQC Beauty X Heat thinking since it has such rave reviews it might be a decent competitor. The GHD Platinum+ is just average. Not terrible, not the best on the market either. It's pretty heavy compared to other irons I've used also. I'm keeping it because I don't want to go through returning it and not having one for a few days. I do have to go over my hair twice, and I have fine hair.

Love this so far!
I just got it a few weeks ago but love it so far. It heats up quickly and works well. My last GHD iron lasted for almost 17 years, so I have high hopes for this one too.

Not sure they’re as good as my last pair
I’ve had a pair of platinum straighteners for about 8 years when they stopped working and according to the website are not fixable. So I invested in a new pair but so far I’m not sure about them - they don’t feel smooth in my hair and feel like they’re catching as I run them thru my hair.
I’ll persevere but so far not as happy as I was with my old pair.

Why did I wait so long to buy them

Heat up very quickly.
Straighteners are great but disappointed didn’t receive free brush. Hadn’t noticed small print that didn’t apply if you got a discount. Although got a small discount, they were then reduced another £25 two weeks later as well.

Do the ghd platinums work well in the USA please
Hi there,
If you were to try and use a pair of GHDs in America, then in theory they should work, but would take longer to heat up and may not get as hot. However there are some reports that GHDs may fail if you try to use them on 110V.
