Soothing & Barrier Support Serum is a multi-active solution targeted at reducing the look of irritated skin. It helps recover the skin barrier in 2 hours*, and provides an immediate 86%** boost in skin hydration. This helps soothe feelings of discomfort, and reduce signs of redness over time. While strengthening the skin barrier, the Soothing & Barrier Support Serum also improves the look of uneven texture for a smoother appearance. Formulated with multiple vitamins, lipids, and phytotechnologies, this comprehensive serum is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
The multi-active formula contains 8 key technologies:
- Vitamin B12: Helps support skin barrier by reducing dryness and the look of redness, while also imparting the serum’s characteristic pink hue.
- Gallic Acid Derivatives: A combination of 3 activated forms of gallic acid (propyl gallate, gallyl glucoside and epigallocatechin gallyl glucoside (EGCG)) helps soothe skin discomfort and target the look of redness associated with external stressors irritants.
- Bisabolol: Helps reduce the look of skin redness.
- Soothing Complex: Reduces feelings of skin tightness and discomfort from dryness.
- Ceramide Complex: Plant-derived ceramides (sphingolipids and phospholipids) provide topical delivery of key skin components.
- 2% Niacinamide: Supports essential skin components that help promote hydration.
- Sugar-based hydrators: Offers long-term skin hydration and helps support the skin barrier function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best for dry skin! Currently on Epuris and needed something to help my dry skin. This collection works perfectly and keeps my skin feeling hydrated even after a long day/ in the morning. Highly recommend for individuals struggling with overly dry skin!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Drying and disappointing I bought this product because my skin barrier was in shambles after over exfoliating. I had actually ceased all exfoliation and was in the process of seeing improvements to the hydration of my skin when I purchased this product. I thought it would be like....the boost I needed for my skin to go back to normal. Instead, what I saw was my skin becoming MORE dry then when I first started using it, and I noticed some textural irregularities on my cheeks that weren't there before. This is definitely the most disappointed I've ever been in an Ordinary product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lightweight serum, but redness hasn’t gone away I bought this a couple of months ago, and I really wanted to believe my face was getting less red, but I still have that redness in my cheeks and nose. Not so much on my forehead though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GAVE ME A TERRIBLE ALLERGIC REACTION!!! I bought this a week ago and i patch tested it etc, and i decided to use it on my whole face. It was fine. I stopped using it because it piled badly but i decided to pick it up and use it again because I saw so many dermatologists recommend and i thought it would make my skin barrier stronger (i struggle alot with a very sensitive skin barrier) I used it once and when i woke up the next morning my eyes were puffy my face was swollen, small red bumps gathered up all around my cheeks and I really dont know what to do. I am not sure what it is but its itchy and i put aloe vera on it and it was soothed. Someone please help me what do i do. They are kind of like lots of small closed comedones all around my cheek but red and bumpier. Someone please let me know what to do my skin was perfectly fine before this. DO NOT BUY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Transformative I have extreme combination skin with sebhorraic dermatitis in my nasal folds. I use several TO products and had found Niacinamide plus rose hip seed oil worked as part of my routine, especially for the dermatitis. Because my whole face is so out of balance I thought this might replace the Niacinamide but be more usable across my whole face - it sure is, but it's made my skin feel and look great, and slightly more even in terms of oily versus dry. It's more expensive than the Niacinamide but I've reduced how often I use both Marine Hyaluronics, and my LRP moisturiser, so that helps, and overall it's well worth it. I HAVE had a couple of very small pimples on my cheeks (dry skin) which I've never had before but now I'm nearing 3 months using this once a day I haven't had one for at least a month. Highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burning As a product targeted for redness the breakout after every use was a big surprise. Did a skin patch test before on my wrist and it was fine. On the face however I have immediate burning reaction. Gave it to my partner, he has the same. I'll try the trick with rubbing it for 30 s in hands before applying, maybe it will work, but still it's quite disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The secret to tolerating Tretinoin I bought a bottle when I started Tretinoin and was doing fine. I finished the bottle and didn't replace it hoping to simplify my routine. Immediately struggled to tolerate the Tretinoin. Tried to use a moisturizer before instead but could only tolerate it once s week. Went back to this and Immediately back to daily Tretinoin. I hope they never discontinue it!
