WHAT IT IS:

Vitamin C is a hero ingredient for skin brightening and powerful multi-functional antioxidant. It works to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation, dullness and fine lines.

WHAT IT DOES:

Formulated with 30% pure L-ascorbic Acid, THE INKEY List Vitamin C serum helps your skin appear brighter and targets signs of ageing. It also helps to protect against free radicals and pollution. Best used in the AM, the rich, creamy texture gives an instant smoothing effect, making it a great base for makeup.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

• 30% pure stable l-ascorbic acid (vitamin c)

Directions

Can be used AM or PM, but we recommend using in the AM to make the most of its antioxidant properties. Apply a pea-sized amount to face and neck after cleansing and Hyaluronic Acid if using. For a thinner consistency, we recommend mixing with Hyaluronic Acid. Follow with moisturizer and suncreen if applied in the AM.

DIMETHICONE, ASCORBIC ACID, POLYSILICONE-11, PEG-10 DIMETHICONE.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burning / stinging skin I don’t like it at all and definitely wouldn’t recommend. This has left me with burning / stinging / sensitive skin with blotches. It really irritated my skin even after it’s washed off. The serum itself looks oil based as when I opened it oil came out before the serum, it looked like it had been split from the serum. When applied other than the burning and stinging the serum didn’t blend / melt into my skin, it just became bombly like it’s rubbing dead skin away. A vitamin c serum isn’t meant to be like this and leaves your skin supple and glowy, this was the opposite as it left me with white bombly bits on my face and a matte look. Highly disappointing as I love the hyaluronic acid and the sun cream.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was flakey to put on and it made my skin itch and smart after a couple of uses. Would not recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect! I have always found all the other inkey list products that I have tried have been absolutely incredible, and able to use exactly as per the instructions. This is a little different. The instructions state use AM or PM, however when applied there is pilling, especially when applied under makeup. If you apply at night instead, this doesn’t cause an issue and has absolutely evened out my complexion after years of neglecting my skin. Give this product time to work, apply at night and you’ll be sure to see the results! (Wash your hands after use or you’ll get staining!)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the serum- hate the packaging [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best I have tried but I have stopped using it because of the awful packaging. It is difficult to get the serum out Because of the hard neck so lots is left behind so it becomes less economic. The lower strength is not as good for me but is in better packaging so that is what I am using now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong stuff! This vitamin C is 30% I have seen many other bad reviews simply because their skin isn’t used to it. If you’re new to vitamin C probably best to use a lower % otherwise, this serum does just what it says. Simple and effective as always. If there is some tingle when using, mix with HA or moisturiser and it sorts that right out which also helps with spreading the serum. I have highly sensitive skin and haven’t had a problem when buffering. Haven’t given 5 stars simply because it doesn’t give the % or vitamin c type on the packaging, which is common with inkey list and I can’t figure out why that is?? Will be keeping this one in my routine for sure!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bottle not right for a nice serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the feel of this serum as it is smoothing however it can sometimes sting a little. The main issue is the bottle is not right. The serum is too thick to easily come out of the bottle. I cut the top off today and there was so much inside just stuck to the sides as I figured it couldn’t have run out so quickly. Not sure if it will now dry up but time will tell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor Strange texture and pills with other products and makeup and very drying! I use the correct amount or less and leave plenty of time before applying other products. It's also turned my hands yellow!? This product is not the one!!

Does it have silicones in it?

Asked by: Zarina
Hey there, Polysilicone-11 and PEG-10 Dimethicone are listed as ingredients for The INKEY List Vitamin C Serum which are silicones. Hope this helps! Many thanks Katie, Beauty Expert.
