The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F - high-strength oil-solubilized vitamin C derivative in vitamin F.

Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant, brightens the skin tone and reduces signs of ageing. Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is an oil-soluble derivative of Vitamin C that can be used in higher concentrations without drawbacks. It is one of the most stable derivatives of Vitamin C but, being a derivative, its potency will not be directly comparable to pure L-Ascorbic Acid. It is provided in this oil-format formula in combination with Vitamin F, also known as essential fatty acids. Aside from the general benefits of pure Vitamin C, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmiate has been shown to offer specific skin brightening benefits.

Water-free, alcohol-free, nut-free, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free.

Directions

Apply a few drops of The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F to the entire face in the AM and/or PM.

Coconut Alkanes, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Ethyl Linoleate, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Squalane.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why have the Ordinary changed the ingrediants? This used to be great but since the Ordinary have changed the ingredients, it gives me spots and my skin looks way worse. The Ordinary, please could you revert to the original ingredients? This used to be a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 😲 I highly recommend. A little bit of redness in first week, but it settled down nicely. I mix with retinol for an added hit. My skin has never looked sooooo good. A must have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great even for oily skin! I have been using this product for a while now because I wanted something to fight against post-acne scars. This has been doing a great job so far, but I want to get the most out of my skincare, so I was wondering, how much do I have to wait after applying this serum before putting a moisturizer on?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glowing dewy skin I've had this serum for a few months but started using it on daily basis about about 10 days ago and I am very happy with what I see. I like the light oil texture of the product, it absorbs very well. I don't have any age spots. so I cannot speak to the brightening effects, but since I've been using this regularly every morning following the Buffet and finishing with SPF, my skin looks very dewy, well hydrated and has a glow that I didn't have before.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The name of the product and INCI are different Please match the product name with the INCI. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is the most expensive form of vitamin C on the market, so what form does the product contain? Thank you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pills a lot but absorbs quick As I’m trying to find the right VitC, I’m going through a few. Heard this was one of the better ones. It pills. I use it as instructed, after serums. There is no rubbing. As in I can’t actually rub it between my hands to spread the product unless I do only one swipe on very clean and dry hands. Rubbing on my skin automatically pills. I have followed alpha arbutin and niacinamide (both The Ordinary). They have been absorbed all the way. Skin dry. Pressing and patting works better unless you do it a lot. Patting until absorbed just makes it pill way before it absorbs. I use TO Retinol in Squalane .5% after. And I can’t rub it on otherwise the VitC will pill. Even after the VitC absorbs. So pressing the retinol it is. If you press it, or pat it shortly/lightly, this stuff absorbs in the most awesome way. Quick and complete. Very light! Very thin! Just bad at pilling if done wrong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have gotten redness :( I found out on youtube that this kind of Vitamin C is the best for the skin. I still believe it but for me it is too potent. I started to use new makeup, medium coverage and I have seen myself on Zoom meeting absolutely redfaced. I thought it must be the colour of makeup. But then I realized that I was red even without makeup. I tried to figure it out which of my products does it and my first shot - Vitamin C "won". I never tought I would have sensitive skin but I started to experiment with potent, more high end cosmetics and maybe it is too much. I still love this product and I would love to use it, maybe just use it up. Is there any way to make it less potent? To lessen the concentration?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Causes redness I bought it nearly two months ago and started using it as part of a daily routing this page recommended. First it did nothing, I decided to give it time. After some time my skin became red with textural irregularities. When I removed this product from my routine, it went back to normal. I gave it an other shot - just by itself to test it out and my skin was red again. The reaction was not immediate but after regular use, it harmed my skin.
