Halloween Makeup Inspo:

Sultry Jester by Huda Beauty

Guaranteed to induce chills (and a touch of cut-crease envy). Inspired by the Cirque du Soleil, learn how to master this Halloween jester makeup using a full face of Huda Beauty.

Get the look

1. Using Huda’s favourite Wild Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Jaguar, load your eyeshadow brush with the jet black matte eyeshadow colour. Pat this shadow to the outer and inner corners of your eyelid. Leave the centre bare, then repeat underneath the eye along the lower lash line, again leaving the centre bare.

2. Next, load up the Build & Blend Eyeshadow Brush with the matte grey shade. Using light handed, mini windscreen wiper motions, blend the edges of your black into the grey on your brush. This will soften those edges and defuse your eyeshadow.

3. Using the smaller side of the eyeshadow brush, apply the Overachiever Concealer (in 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone) to the centre of the eyelid - this will act as a base for the next colour. Now take your eyeshadow blender brush again, this time into the metallic gold shade and tap this on top of the concealer you've just applied. Lightly fade the gold into the black so it's soft and seamless. Repeat this underneath the eye along the lower lash line.

4. Create a crisp winged liner with the Life Liner Quick ‘N Easy. Huda’s top tip is to apply her outer wing first then connect the tip of that wing to her lid by drawing backwards - with this liner it’s so easy to execute the perfect wing no matter what your skill level is.

5. Using the tip of the liner, map out using dots where you want to draw your clown paint. Then, using the OG Huda Hack, take a sticky note as a guide to draw your lines. You can also use this trick to draw your perfect winged liner. On the other cheek draw a classic clown tear drop and more clown lines above your eyebrow. Add a clown nose to dramatise the look even more. Make sure you fill your clown lines in with either the liner or the black eyeshadow and add some gold into the centre to match your eyes.

6. Layer on lashings of the Legit Lashes Mascara. Use the 'volume' end to add fullness to the roots of your lashes then comb through using the 'curl and length' end to separate and define lashes even more. This is a fibre mascara, so Huda recommends looking down into a hand mirror to apply your mascara in a zig zag movement, this prevents a messy finish and gets those fibres hooked on to your natural lashes.

7. No makeup look would be complete without a well-groomed brow. Use the BOMBBROWS Full ‘N Fluffy Fibre Gel to add natural definition to your brows. This brow wand contains the same fibres as those in the mascara, so using the side of the spoolie will add instant fluff factor and pump up the volume of your brows in seconds.

8. Finish the look with the Power Bullet Matte Lipstick in Masquerade. Apply this deep plum colour all over, following you natural lip line.

9. Take the Lip Contour 2.0 Pencil in shade Very Berry and over-line your lip boarder slightly to add fullness. Use the pencil to fill in the corners of your mouth, exaggerate and extend your lips into a clown smile. Use a cotton bud to clean up the edges. I have also added gems to this look using the Sticky Tack Lash Glue.
