I’ve learned a lot in the last year. Having all that time at home with the family was really special. Although I was working behind the scenes, it was good just to be able to slow down.
I continued filming The Mummy Diaries and I created Revive Collagen, but I was at home with my kids the whole time and that was really precious. Those small things like dinner with the family, without rushing around or trying to do anything else, are so important and now I’ve made it a rule to do that three times a week.
My beauty routine has changed so much. When I was at home I wasn’t really wearing makeup and it gave my skin a chance to breathe. I started taking collagen and looking after myself, making sure to do a facial once a week and put treatments on my hair. I even ordered my own gel kit so I could do my nails at home.
When the kids were off school, I got into a routine of training early every morning at around 6am. It just gives me a boost and then I feel like I’m ready to start the day. I think it’s so important to give yourself that little hour because as soon as 8am hits in our house, I’ve got no chance.
I think that turning 30 has made me accept my skin and body more. There was definitely a way to look when I started out on TV, but now I do what I like and what makes me feel good. I don’t really look at what other people are doing, I just focus on feeling like the best version of me that I can.
I’m excited for 2022. One of my major goals is to get Revive Collagen over to America, so that’s the dream for next year. We’ll also be working with someone, I can’t reveal who yet, but that’s going to be big news.
