How to Give Back with Toiletries Amnesty

'Tis the Season

Think about how many unopened beauty products you have lying around, the random hotel toiletries you've accumulated, the gift sets you'll never use...

Thanks to our charity partner Toiletries Amnesty, you could give your unwanted personal care products a much more worthwhile purpose this Christmas.

Toiletries Amnesty works to end hygiene poverty.

They also stop beauty products going to waste. How? By connecting donors who have spare, unused or unwanted toiletries with the people who need them most.

Their donations helped an estimated 250,000 people last year.

Organisations in their directory include food banks, homeless shelters, mental health charities, refuges, schools and colleges.

They simply register to create an account and tell people which products they can and cannot accept.

There’s a huge list of toiletries items that are needed;

vital items like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, sanitary products and razors.

But there are huge benefits to confidence and wellbeing by getting more 'luxury' items too - bubble bath, makeup, perfume - anything that feels like a treat can have a really positive impact.

That shower gel you've only used once? A shampoo that wasn't quite right for you?

Good news. You can donate part-used items - just make sure you check the Toiletries Amnesty directory for organisations that accept them.
