Dried out skin
I bought this item in Dec 2023 hoping that its lack of ingredients would not trigger my eczema, but unfortunately that was not the case. It completely dried out my skin and left me with flaky dried dead skin on my face every single morning. I looked like a zombie every time I woke up. I had to exfoliate several times a day!
If you have extremely dry eczema prone skin like me i Do NOT recommend this product!!!

Wouldnt recommend
Doesnt lather up easily which to me is fine, if you add a little water and scrub between your hands before putting in your hair I think thats enough.
I bought this because I sometimes get an itchy scalp and i thought maybe it was to do with the shampoos i have been using. I usually wash my hair 2 times a week and only wash because i get some dandruff but never because its greasy, but after using this shampoo on day 2 my hair already feels heavier, day 3 its actually greasy. It does say for "daily use" on the packaging which i assumed meant CAN be used daily not If you use this product you WILL NEED to use it daily.
Didnt stop my itchy head, if anything made it much worse. Now not only do i have an itchy dry head but now greasy ontop of it.

Very disappointed
Bought it very excited it left my hair flat. When dry my head of hair smelled bad.

Shampoo
As a user of many products The Ordinary has, I tried the shampoo for the first time just recently. Having very fine a straight hair the challenge to find a product that does not strip the hair and leaving it dry. This product is amazing. Gentle on the hair and overall styling appears to be better. I little strange to get past the fact that it does not lather like traditional shampoos. Very pleased. As a side note though regarding another product, I am sad to see that the Company know longer will be selling the serum foundation. It truly was and is an exceptional product having stocked up on many bottles.

Great shampoo for my short hair.
Excellent product that gets down straight to business. Cleans hair and body. I don't care about scent or too much lather. Great product.

Amazing on my frizzy menopausal hair.
I have struggled finding a shampoo which can counteract my very hard water, which leaves my hair dull and lanky, without causing too much frizz. This is it! Finally clean hair, that does not scare the local children when I do not blow dry it. A highly recommended, gentle but thorough chelating shampoo. Even my hairdresser loves it.

Wanted to love it but ruined my scalp
I LOVED how this shampoo has very few ingredients and no added oils. As a person with very fine hair almost everything weighs it down. I have dandruff and other issues so no added fragrance was awesome. HOWEVER, the sulphates in this caused bleeding welts on my scalp that took a few weeks to heal. Why can't The Ordinary just use a common gentle Isethionate?? If they swapped cleansing agents, this would be a perfect shampoo. Such a fail.
