What we say Vitamin C was the most googled beauty ingredient of 2017 and with good reason! This treatment from the Ordinary may sound a bit scary, but it effectively evens out and brightens skin tone to reveal a glowing complexion. Apply a small amount in the evening after cleansing; we like to mix ours with moisturiser to save a bit of time.
The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% - a water-free, silicone-free stable suspension.

Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant and its pure form of L-Ascorbic Acid has been shown to reverse multiple signs of skin ageing while brightening the skin when applied topically. This water-free, silicone-free formula provides 23% pure L-Ascorbic Acid which remains completely stable due to the absence of water. The system is supported with addition of dehydrated spheres of Hyaluronic Acid to offer visible surface smoothing alongside the benefits of Vitamin C.

Nut-free, vegan.

Directions

Apply a small amount to face in the AM or the PM. A tingling sensation can be expected after application. If the sensation is too strong to tolerate, the formula can be mixed on each application with other creams or serums of your preference. This treatment is ideally applied at bedtime.

Ascorbic Acid, Squalane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Coconut Alkanes, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucomannan, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Trihydroxystearin, BHT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for me I use it in the evening only. I like the granulated formula, it encourages me to keep massaging my skin until it absorbs in. My neck looks much better after a few days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Gritty wonder After a long quest through the Vitamin C serums offered by various brands, I found myself repeatedly returning to The Ordinary's Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%. From the very first application, the effects were not just noticeable but remarkable. My skin felt glowy and visibly brighter, an elusive goal that many other products promised but could never quite deliver. However, it's not without its flaws. The texture is quite heavy, which might not be suitable for all skin types. The gritty feel upon application can also be off-putting. Despite these issues, the formula's effectiveness in enhancing skin radiance is undeniable. I initially decided not to repurchase after finishing my first tube, driven away by the textural issues. But the lackluster performance of other products quickly brought me back. Now on my fourth tube. If you can get past the gritty texture and the heavier feel, The Ordinary's Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% might just be the game-changer your skincare routine needs. It's a potent product that delivers serious results, making it a worthy investment for those chasing a bright, glowing complexion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total bunk It just feels like a grainy oily mess. It stings the skin and doesn't really do anything. I thought Maybe I just needed to use it for awhile to see results and not feel stingy but after 2 months I gave up. I now use straight vitamin c in a oil suspension from another company.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed I have been using the 30% suspension for a very long time but due to it being constantly out of stock I decided to try this. I'm sure the overall results will be very good but it's just so unpleasant to use. I like to use vitamin C in the morning and retinol at night. You have to gently pat this on and then pat on your moisturiser and sunscreen otherwise it pills like crazy. The first time I used it my husband asked me what all the little white bobbles on my face were! The 30% suspension is much nicer and straightforward to use so if it is discontinued I will have to rethink where I get my vitamin C from.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Painful Not sure how well it works but it does have some serious drawbacks - 1) it stings your skin 2) its very heavy 3) the tube is defective so doesn't allow for even distribution. Either a tiny amount comes out when squeezed or too much. I would not buy again given that there are other Vitamin C options in the market.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad product I used this product for a month and I didn’t notice any difference on my skin but my nails and hands turned yellow, terrible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works good I’ve been using for about a month now and have noticed some changes in my skin being brighter. Based on other reviews I was worried about the texture, smell, and potentially my skin turning orange but I haven’t had any of those problems. I use at night after my shower and mix with moisturizer. It looks lumpy when I mix but doesn’t feel lumpy. It takes some time to absorb and if you put too much it won’t absorb completely. There’s a slight neutral odor but doesn’t both me. I rub the leftover cream on my hands and fingers. No orange skin. No irritation. My only problem is that the cream is a little liquid-y and comes out of the bottle quickly so be careful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan Very runny and always spills out the container when I open it. It is grainy and feels like an exfoliator when applied. I understand why this is but I much preferred the vitamin c in silicon product offered by this brand.

Hi!  Can I use this cream and niacinamide serum in the evenings one after the other? Or should I use one in the eve and one in the morn? They both suggest nighttime use!

Asked by: Sarah
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us. The brand advises not to use these two products one after the other, but you can use one in the AM and one in the PM. I would recommend using the The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% in the AM and the The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% in the PM before your moisturiser/night oil. I hope this helps! Thanks, Chloe - Beauty Expert

Is the Ordinary bit C serum suitable for coloured skin. Like Asian-Indian skin?

Asked by: Nazia
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us. This product can be used on skin of any colour, ethnicity or race - it's not so much for lightening the skin colour, it's more for brightening the skin and providing radiance to dull skin. It also helps with lightening pigmentation marks, freckles and sun/age spots. I hope this helps! Thanks, Chloe - Beauty Expert
